Happy for you Phil. So glad you have Farah. I was a Pro Poker Player and Sports Handicapper/Consultant lived in Summerlin near Red Rock Casino in Vegas for 15 years (2005-2020), My partner Sara was with me for about 8 of those years. She had bipolar disorder and she unfortunately died by suicide when I went away one weekend by July 4th to visit my parents in Laguna Beach. The love of my life was gone. She never could handle my unique lifestyle gambling, my crazy hours always focused on the games, it was a huge stressor, even though it paid for all our bills and much much more. I miss her every day and wonder what would have been different had I not been focused on the gambling all day everyday 7 days a week. I am so glad you have this support system, including your parents. It is so important. Again, so happy for your success and happiness man. I left Vegas when Covid hit, I felt it was time for some changes. I will be watching your episodes from a bit north now in Lake Tahoe.

I know you’re a humble dude, but I hope you understand that you’re genuinely an all-time poker legend. In terms of innovation, ambassadorship, integrity, advancement, as well as being one of the greatest poker minds of all time. Arguably on the Mount Rushmore, just with less tv time. Right up there with Doyle, Ivy, Hellmuth, and Negreanu.

Kind of cringe to make a documentary about yourself on your own channel. But still good.

The closing by phil, with the music, and that final clip of this shy kid... A fkn genius with the most heart we ever saw. That gave me the chills. I tried so hard to be my version of that kid. I sleep well knowing that, and i did well against players now viewed as the best cash game players live, early on in their careers online. Scott siever,andrew robl, brian rast, jared bleznik, etc. All when i took shots and went up to 25/50+. They were just names on a screen to me until 2 years later. Oddly enough, i thought of them as enemies trying to beat me. It was war/work to me. I know how good i could play because they always put me to the test daily. I passed more often than i failed, but failed plenty. I'm proud of that but most of all that i never really studied or conversated with others. I only ran sims in my brain 24/7, even while i slept and figured it out. The math/game was natural to me. Only a true grinder understands the term poker mind. I realized there was levels before i even knew what to call it. I just never went beyond my mind really. Of course i read and saw things daily. That was my mistake. Eventually the edge faded as phil said and i noticed it and stepped back. Then a few yrs later live games caught up as well. Mixed with passion it's a powerful force that you must try to keep control of. I still follow their accomplishments online from time to time and smile. Poker changed the way i think in life. It helped open my mind and what a fun/wild ride it was. I love poker and always will. If not for a woman i'd probably still be grinding. Never sleep with a dealer who deals at the casino/games you play in daily. haha. Oddly enough, saying all this made me feel good for some reason. Nostalgia on steroids i suppose. Thx for reading ya'll. GL

Best advice in my life Phil "WE don't manage time, we manage activities" Write out 5-7 goal achieving activities per day and go about your day ticking off each goal as you!! Never try more than 7. You'll get more done in a month , than others get done in a year! FACT

That was really well done. I lived it, watched it all from the 1st day on FTP. That was so much fun just railing it for days straight.... Def a raw talent with too much courage. It was his flaw. We all have them. His was zero or 100.. He took the poker world by storm. It really is a shame he couldn't just slow down. He had time to do it, but just wasn't built like that. Hopefully he at least bought a home and is doing fine now and at peace. He's like Archie karas and his story. Isildur1 is forever a legend. I'll never forget those days. 6 tabling against Ivey, Antonius and durr for 15 hrs straight, daily. WOW. GL all
